DANIEL B. HOROWITZ

Daniel Horowitz is a New York based Art Director and Illustrator. His work has become widely recognized in only a short while after returning from Europe in late 2007 . He has recently won silver and bronze medals from the The Society of Illustrators and Creative Quarterly Journal for Art & Design respectively, and has been recognized by American Illustration six times.

Daniel Horowitz is a graduate of the Art Center College of Design in California, 2000 with a scholarship in Illustration. Following his education, Daniel moved to Warsaw, Poland where he began his career as an instructor, painter and illustrator working among the very esteemed graphic artists of the Polish school of poster design. Mr. Horowitz had the honor of exhibiting under the patronage of the US Embassy and the Polish Ministry of Culture. Splitting his time between Berlin, Vienna, Barcelona, London and Warsaw, Mr. Horowitz also worked as a special effects and production designer for film and theater, designing prosthetics for such renowned directors as Roman Polanski and Tom Tykwer.

Since his return to the United States, Mr. Horowitz's unique conceptual approach to creativity has been sought after by such clients as J Walter Thompson, The Rockwell Group, Burton Snowboards and many others. Daniel Horowitz's illustrations have graced the pages of The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Harvard Business Review, Time Magazine, and BusinessWeek among many others. 2009 has brought recognition and awards from American Illustration, The Society of Illustrators Los Angeles and the Creative Quarterly Journal for Art & Design.

Sequestered in a little known neighborhood of Vinegar Hill in Brooklyn, Daniel has dedicated himself to fine design and nowadays is only rarely seen casting rubber limbs.
